In Cilento national park, in areas untouched by intensive farming, in the firm San Salvatore we don't cultivate the land: we take care of it, promoting its vocations, its traditions, its history. Day by day we study the production processes integrating them with the agro-environmental specific characteristics of the ground. This allows us to valorize a single microclimate, a hilly and mountainous land with a high level of biodiversity, rich in minerals and with persistent influences of the sea and an ideal sun exposure.

In San Salvatore we give value to distributed knowledge, to that collective agricultural memory that finds its strength in the organic interaction among people, physical environment and biological environment. For this reason for our cultivations we avoid to insert synthetic products or genetically modified organisms into the ecosystem and we adopt only and exclusively biological processes or biodynamic preparations like the horndung, that favour the natural fertility of the ground and the production of humus.

All our products are home-made. For instance our fertilizers are originated in an integrated biodynamic cycle of complete recovery of the litters of our buffaloes fed only with the products of our ground, they naturally amalgamate straw and manure with their clogs and they allow us to get a healthy organic fertilizer and highly nourishing. And not only: we have a photovoltaic plant with electrical power of 96Kw that reduces our CO2 pollution and let us to respect the UNI ISO 14064 law.
