Umberto Carlotto began working in 1940 as a sharecropper in the Schloβhof company in Mazzon, near Castel Caldiff, where for 50 years he cultivated the vineyards, owned by the Praxmarer family, together with his brother and son Ferruccio.
In 2000 Ferruccio Carlotto, together with his daughter Michela, began to make their own wine from grapes produced with faithful and precise application of good practices of the countryside and winery handed down over the years, in order to maintain the characteristics of the place of origin in the wine. Our philosophy is: cultivate the right grape in the right place, give value and then transmit the area of cultivation.
We cultivate 6 hectares of land and we vinify three types of grapes: Lagrein (25%), Pinot Noir (70%) and Schiava (5%)
