MONT TAU
It is world-renowned for its ageing (at least three years one of which is in oak casks). It best represents the ancient Vitis Hellenica (Aglianico).
It is made from selected grapes cultivated in only 17 villages, all in the province of Avellino. It shows ruby red colour with a light tone of orange, a dry and finely spiced aroma, a robust yet velvety flavour. It is superb with elaborate spiced dishes, game, red meats and cheeses. As with all great reds, it improves with ageing.
