CR BRURIS10
APPELATION: Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
REGION: Montalcino, Tuscany
COMPOSITION: 100% Sangiovese
AGEING: 12 months in French oak 24 months in Slavonian oak The Tuscan climate regularly bestows on us the gift of excellent wine, but every so often fortune shows an extra measure of generosity. Only a careful selection of grapes from a truly exceptional harvest can produce a Riserva which in turn, is aged for a total of 6 years, including 36 months in oak barrels, and then left in the bottle for a further year before being released.
Its ruby-red colour is deep reflections of light garnet. On the nose it radiates a powerful perfume of ripe, dark cherries along with hints of tobacco, vanilla, black pepper and liquorice. Rich and voluminous, the wine blossoms on the palate with deep tones of spices and dark fruit that combine well with the imposing tannins.
This full-bodied Riserva reveals outstanding length that follows through to an incredible fresh and persistent lingering finish. Once ready to be drunk and enjoyed, it becomes further appreciated as a maximum expression of its origins, giving pleasure to the palate and delighting the eye whilst paying sublime homage to mother nature in its opulence and sobriety.
