The passion for Sicily and its products brought Federico, Andrea and Francesco together in the creation of a unique product, with the goal of grouping in a bottle the typical flavours and fragrances of Sicily. The freshness of the nepitella (wild mint) of Altopiani Iblei is combined with essential oils of Siracusa IGP lemon and skillfully mixed with organic amaricanti herbs of Etna. The rediscovery of bitters in the international market gave a quick boost to Nepèta. Since March 2018, the label contains the indication of the organic ingredients wisely used in the preparation of this spirit, which perfectly represents the excellences of Sicily.

Ingredients: Water, alcohol, sugar, infusion of Sicilian Nepitella leaves, infusion of Syracuse PGI lemon zests, infusion of aromatic herbs.

Nepitella : It is the main ingredient of our Amaro and the first herbaceous mark that your palate feels during the first sip. It recalls all the wild taste of the Sicilian countryside.

Siracusa Lemon IGP : After the first sip, you can feel at the bottom of the palate a slight bitter taste due to the infusion of the zest of our Siracusa Lemon PGI, our second ingredient.

Sicilian Natural Herbs : Artemisia, Citrus aurantium amara and Gentiana are just some of the Sicilian slightly bitter herbs we use, many of which grow spontaneously throughout the Hyblean region, on the edges of a drywall, on the white and calcareous rocks, inside a “trazzera”, on the sides of a creek; they are the final touch of our recipe, which gives the perfect balance to our Amaro Nepèta.
