Liquer obtained by putting pure Plum juice in infusion in alcohol
The plant Prunus Domestica yields a fruit called a plum, whose fresh juice is placed in infusion in alcohol and sugar.
The result is a liqueur with an intense aroma of apricot, almond and dried fruit. It is a typical Veneto specialty to be enjoyed together with small pastries.
Raw material: infusion in alcohol of pure Plum juice
Aroma: fruited and almondy
Taste: sweet with a pleasant “macaroon” final
Service: at temperature of 10/15 °C - 50/59 °F in a tulip-shaped glass
Elisir Prugna should be served plain, at room temperature, to best appreciate the original note of amaretto and bitter almond that characterizes it.
