MER2 1791LA
Definition: Double-aged old rum.
Production: This rum is first aged for 5 years in American oak casks at its place of origin in the Caribbean (Guyana and Barbados). Then it is shipped to Williams & Humbert’s installations in Jerez (Spain), where the rum is aged for another 3 years in casks that have previously held the internationally renowned Dos Cortados palo cortado sherry (aged for 20 years, as certified by the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Regulatory Council).
Tasting notes: This two-stage process produces old rum of unique characteristics, with a matchless bouquet and flavour. It is exceptionally smooth.
Suggestions for consumption: Excellent in a balloon glass either neat or on ice. Superb in elegant mixed drinks and cocktails.
