The grinder and internal mechanism: The Bisetti pepper grinder mechanism is in tempered steel. The zinc covering protects the grinder from oxidation, guaranteeing sharpness and resistance to wear while the Bisetti salt grinder mechanism is made in ceramics, in order to resist the corrosion due to the action of the salt. All the components of the internal mechanism are made in stainless steel and aluminium.

All are guaranteed to be in accordance with EC and FDA regulations for contact with foodstuffs.
